Sword Lover

by Curtis Strickland
(Grants Pass, Or, U.S)

I got my Gen 2 Black Prince sword from Arms Of Valor, by the way with the SBG coupon it was a steal at 231.00 U.S. with shipping, and let me tell you, I couldn't be more happy with it. This sword is awesome!

It cuts like a dream, killing milk jugs and soda bottles, that secretly posed as orcs, by the droves. I'm sure that my neighbors are horrified by the two hundred and eighty pound guy in his bathrobe swinging a sword in his front lawn, but hey, who the hell cares what they think anyway. I haven't pitted the beast against any harder mediums then plastic bottles yet, because well, I personally suck at cutting and just don't really feel the need to risk such a fine piece to satisfy my curiosity. But if Paul Southren's review of the sword has taught me anything is that the Black Prince would pass with flying colors what ever I decided to throw at it.

Cutting aside this sword is very "Meat and Taters" to look at with very few frills and no real stand out in the furniture department. Really besides the historically accurate cross guard, i.e believed to have belonged Edward "The Black Prince" of Wales, the sword is very, if not in some eyes overly, plain. But to a person like me, who has recently purchased a few interpitations of historical fight books (digression alert Tobler rocks my socks!) it was the perfect sword to buy to drill ALONE with, without breaking my bank roll.

All and all, I could not be more pleased with this sword, and commend the hard working folks at Gen 2 for manufucturing a great weapon at an affordable price.

p.s the scabbard and frog were a nice addition as well.
