My experiences with the Tinker Longsword

by Thomas
(Austria)

I have the Tinker Longsword and I was also quite shocked when I saw the bent tip.

But I must defend the Tinker,on the photo you made, it looks like the first 2cm of the tip where bent, but in comparision to the mail-rings I think its only a few mm that actuelly bent and it looks like the tip is very thin.

While I sharpened my Longsword I put a little work in reshaping the tip by removing a few mm with a file, my tip is now much stronger.

I think Hanwei was too ambitious with the distal taper.

I have no problems with thrusting even harder targets and i think a sharp edge would increase the thrusting power(as it did on mine).
