Looking for a review on this "Functional" Ninja-To

The Valiant Armoury

The Valiant Armoury "Functional Ninja-To"

So I've been looking at Ninja-Tos for a while now...

But at the last second of buying one, I've hesitated because I have come across one disclaimer, or one dissatisfied customer or something of that nature. A few years ago, someone informed me about this "Functional" Ninja-To by Valiant Armoury, but I have had a lot of trouble finding decent reviews of this sword, if any at all.

If there is anyone out there who owns this sword and is willing to write a review, or even better, a review and a comparison to another Ninja-To such as the Hanwei, I would be most grateful.

Here is a link to a page where this sword can be found...

A no brainer

I have, also, been looking for a decent functional Ninja-To as a beater. I already picked up the Hanwei/Paul Chen Practical Ninja-To based on the review on Sword Buyers Guide. This is because of it's excellent reputation as a fully functional sword. The next one I am looking at is the one from Cheness which is the Bujinkan Oniyuri. Pricier but compared to semi-customs and customs out there it is a pretty good price. If you have a problem with the price then it might be worth your while to get the Ninja-To from Mushashi. It is functional and the price is rock bottom low in comparison to the Valiant Armoury Ninja-To. Even a sword from Ontario knife and sword is OK. I have seen the Valiant Armoury Ninja-To up close and it did not look extraordinary. The sheath was even less so. Of course, practicality and functionality cannot be judged by the book's cover. Anything else and you take your chances.

I might give it a try...

I am pretty backlogged review wise at the moment, but I may personally look into this sword in the future. There aren't that many Ninjato on the market - and I'd be curious as to how it performs.

Give me time, and I'll see what I can do. Though in the meantime, if you decided to take the plunge, be sure to review it at the SBG forum! :-)
