Gim 1

by Sean Maguire
(Wiscasset, ME)

I bought the first version of Kris Cutlery's Gim. I use it for Tai Chi Practice and have found that it works well for me. In an effort to improve my sword cuts I have been utilizing the blade to limb White Pine, Oak, and Spruce trees with upward and downward cuts. It cuts well up to 1" limbs but the blade has sustained bends from the impacts. Every time that I have tried a horizontal cut the blade vibrates severly and sustains a bend. The edge though remains un-nicked.
