Generation 2's Big Irish Swords
Generation 2 have made two very big Irish Swords, the aptly named Irish Hand and a Half Sword and the even bigger Sword of King Brian Boru – the first high king of Ireland.
Unfortunately, the limited Edition Sword of King Brian Boru (only 400 made) reached the magic number some time ago and is not retired.
Fortunately for fans of big Irish swords, Generation 2’s Irish Hand and a Half Sword should suit even the most demanding battle ready sword collector and is certain to be available well into the foreseeable future.
Lightweight and agile (2.5lbs) for a 45” sword, after a few initial problems with the durability of the tang this sword was quickly redesigned to address these early issues, and as a result the current model is perhaps the toughest of all big Irish swords on the market.
Add to its list of impressive features a razor sharp blade, excellent balance and surprisingly fast handling and it is no surprise that Generation 2’s Clyde Hollis has described the Irish Hand and a Half as his own personal favourite of all the swords his forge produces. At US$239, this sword is an absolute steal and a must have item for all fans of big Irish swords. (Also comes with a matching dagger that sells for just $95).
The Hand and a Half sword/dagger are both available from one of Generation 2’s most reliable dealers - Arms of Valor - with a 10% discount of the standard online prices, making it the very best deal on the internet for these blades ($215.10 for the hand and a half and $85.50 for the matching dagger!).
