Bad expierence with the Black Prince,Lucerne and Ranger Swords

by Artie Albano
(Nothern CA.USA)

As this story has been told on the SFI and SBG forums, I'll just say that the problems my brother and I had on all three of these blades leads us to believe that they are of poor quality in tempering as all of these swords bent severely on cutting of simple milk jugs and soda bottles.

I was given a replacement on the Black Prince from Clyde Hollis of Imperial Weapons. It was inspected personally by him, but alas it also suffered from the same tempering issues as the other swords.

So my brother and I are stuck with 2 bent unusable swords that were never resolved since Imperial Weapons and Arms of Valor never claimed anymore responsibility on this bad batch of swords.

They were unfortunately bought around March of 2007,which was shown to have been a bad batch of swords and was reported on SBG and other sites.

We will not by this brand again, as we were not given the opportunity to have them replaced for a good set, since the current swords Gen2 produces have none such problem.

Other cheap brands like Windlass have none of these issues as we have used these extensively with no problems to report of.

Just our thoughts on Gen 2 and their distributors.
