Angus Trim First Sword

I have recently acquired an ATrim Makers Mark XIV Double Fuller cut and trust sword. I purchased this sword and a scabbard through Christian Fletcher who is very easy to deal with. The scabbard is made by CF and I can attest to his fine work in this area.
The sword when it arrives must be put together since it is shipped disassembled, this helps with packing & transportation. Once together the sword feels great in the hand. It is effortless to swing and the point tracks very nicely to the target.
The sword comes very sharp and is able to cut card board boxes with little effort. The tip is fine enough to pierce multiple layers of card board with no trouble.
The only issue with this sword is that the cross guard had some movement in it when pushed laterally. It is an easy fix though. By filing the shoulders of the blade down so they come into better contact with the cross guard (which is accomplished by using a metal file) this eliminates most movement. This minor cross guard movement by no means causes problems when cutting with the sword.
Angus Trim's Blades have a reputation for being great cutting swords and being able to take allot of abuse. I far as I can tell this holds true.
I would recommend his blades if you are looking for a mid level/mid price point cutter.
