Albion First Experience

I recently picked up the NG Knight from Albion. I placed my order with Mike from Albion 3 months ago and as promised received my sword 3-4 months after the order date. Mike is very easy to deal and get a hold of, he responds to email very quickly as well.
When I first received the famous "white box" that Albion uses to ship its sword I was more than a little excited. I have been patiently waiting for this sword and when it finally came I had allot of built up expectations.
I opened the box and at first glance the sword looks great. The sword comes in a light coating of oil to prevent any issues with rust during transportation. Once wiping the blade off it was everything I expected. The blade is absolutely perfect with not marks on it, one can tell it was masterfully ground. The hilt assembly is put together with skill and there is no movement from any of the furniture. The sword truly feels like an extension of ones own arm.
The only fault/issue I have with this great sword is that there are pit marks in the cross guard and pommel that take away from the otherwise perfect appearance of the historically correct sword. Mike from Albion has since told me that these marks are called character marks and that some of Albion's swords have more than others but that it is quite normal. As this is my first Albion sword I cannot make any comments to the contrary.
Overall I would recommend this sword and this manufacturer for its product and customer service. Even at this price I would say it is worth every penny.
