Albion destruction testing?

by Ian Jacob

G'day
I have been looking and looking but for the life of me i cannot find a good destruction test source for Albion swords.

I imagine this is because Albion swords are so expensive and it would be a crime to destroy something so beautifull, but does anyone know of any tests or even rockwell hardness tests done on Albion swords?

I hve seen the video of the guys at Albion hitting the barrel but how close is a barrel in hardness to late era plate mail?

I have also read the SBG artical:
The only other reported ‘issue’ with these blades is that they do not have the overall edge durability often seen in the sub US$300 product line. For example, in this thread on my armoury – there are a few stories of Albion swords taking damage that quite a few cheaper lines would shrug off. However, as they make an effort to replicate the approximate hardness of a well made version of the sword their recreations are based upon in all areas, this is not truly an issue but definitely deserves a mention.

Has anyone experienced this?

Cheers
Ian
