A fine sword

by Adam Thurkettle
(Ipswich, Suffolk, UK)

I have brought a couple of generation 2 swords the best of which is there Celtic falcata, please note this may not be its actual name but it is the name given from where is purchased it.

This is a fine sword it is perfect for very close combat melee fighting, it also feels very comfortable in the hand when swung. The sheer weight of this weapon combined with its brilliant cutting edge make it a devastating weapon.

Its weight was also a comfort to me as since I am a very big guy when holding a short sword like the falcata I often feel like I am holding a pen knife but not so with this sword.

A mean sword indeed

Oh yeah, the Falcata is one heck of a mean 'sword axe'. An inelegant, but extremely effective piece that one. :-)
